Conduct and culture have never been more important in financial services, with an increasingly competitive environment both in the UK and internationally.  The FCA states that ‘culture in Financial Services is widely accepted as a key root cause of the major conduct failings’.  Conduct and culture training is important for any bank. However, it is crucially important for senior UK officers representing UK subsidiaries and branches of foreign banks.

To help members better understand the conduct risks their firm may be subject to, AFB are launching two exclusive courses for members, delivered in partnership with CCL Academy:

  • A one-day workshop specifically designed for Compliance Officers to help them better understand the conduct risks their firm are exposed to, how to measure them and how to deploy strategies to mitigate and address these risks. Register here.
  • A one-day workshop specifically designed for Senior Managers and INEDs which will explore specific conduct risk concerns and build an understanding of how to address regulatory challenge and provide effective insight to the Board. Register here.

Both workshops will be delivered in an interactive atmosphere to encourage participation and practical discussion. Case studies will be tailored to responsibilities and the content will be relevant to individuals from both subsidiaries and branches of overseas banks. Each workshop will operate under the Chatham House Rule.

You can learn more or register for either session using the links above. For any questions, please contact the AFB Secretariat.
