UK regulation relating to outsourcing and third-party risk management (TPRM), such as PRA SS2/21 and FCA PS21/3, has increased the UK regulators’ expectations on the depth and detail of oversight required and the application of the requirements to material functions and important business services. Demonstrating effective understanding, oversight and influence over intragroup outsourcing arrangements can pose a compliance challenge to the UK entities and branches of non-UK banks.
This interactive practice workshop, in partnership with Grant Thornton, will examine the key aspects of intragroup outsourcing and TPRM, regardless of whether the service provider is internal or external.
Why attend?
UK regulations acknowledge that intragroup arrangements may differ from ‘external’ third-party outsourcing due to the control and governance structures within a group. Moreover, firms are still expected to manage risks effectively and ensure that intragroup agreements comply with the broader requirements on governance, operational resilience, and risk management.
This workshop will give attendees a practical perspective on how to approach intra-group outsourcing and TPRM at their firms. The workshop will also consider insights from regulatory feedback and the lessons learned from implementation of the UK regulations.
Who should attend?
The session is aimed at Operations, Compliance and Risk teams at AFB members.
