AFB Sponsored Roundtable: Breaking the Silos – Balancing Prudential Risk and Regulatory Reporting

AFB is delighted to collaborate with ALMIS International and offer a roundtable for members to discuss the challenges and solutions when balancing prudential risk and regulatory reporting.

Foreign banks in the UK face increasing pressure to demonstrate strong capital, liquidity, and risk management – while also meeting complex and evolving regulatory reporting obligations. Yet in many institutions, prudential risk management and regulatory reporting operate in silos, leading to inefficiencies, duplication, inconsistent data, and operational strain.

This roundtable will explore the growing overlap between these two disciplines and how aligning them – commoditising data and leveraging technology – can reduce the operational overhead, improve decision-making and strengthen performance.

We are grateful to AFB member firm, Alpha Bank, for hosting this roundtable.

Why attend?

  • Discuss potential areas of synergy between regulatory reporting and prudential risk functions.
  • Identify barriers to integration, including organisational structure, legacy systems and data fragmentation.
  • Explore approaches to align data, assumptions, and models across teams
  • Share strategies for reducing operational workload and improving accuracy
  • Discuss how integrated tooling and automation can enhance compliance and insight.

The Chatham House Rule will apply to this event to encourage open dialogue and discussion.

AFB will circulate an agenda and a series of discussion points and questions in advance to those registered to attend.

Note that capacity for the roundtable will be limited to 18 members, one person per member bank, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Who should attend?

Senior Finance, Treasury, Risk, and regulatory reporting professionals working in subsidiaries and retail banking.
