AFB Seminar: ISO 20022 – The Road to Co-Existence for Correspondent Banks

AFB will partner with Bottomline for an in-person seminar focussed on ISO 20022. During this session, experts from Bottomline and AFB member DZ Bank will provide an update on the next steps for implementation and how member firms can benefit.     

This session is aimed at any bank who is considering how to take advantage of this new standard and how standardised, structured and rich data can improve operational efficiency.

The seminar will focus on the status of the ISO 20022 migration and will provide details of the key next steps so you can meet the deadlines and fully maximise the benefits of the new standard.

The session will cover:

  • The current status of CBPR+ & ISO 20022 migrations
  • What do the different stages look like now, and what are the next steps to prepare for the end of the co-existence period – e.g., the end of in-flow translation and MT translation by Swift at the end of November 2025? 
  • How banks can improve existing processes and be fully ISO 20022 native for the next steps
  • What are the benefits of ISO 20022 over other options?
  • The view from DZ Bank – What are some of the use cases for fully leveraging the benefits of ISO 20022?

John Dench, Strategic Account Director, Bottomline

John Dench is Bottomline Technologies’ Strategic Account Director within our Financial Messaging business in London. He has enjoyed a successful career in Financial Services for over 30 years including scale leadership roles with Barclays plc, BNP Paribas SA & RBS plc covering Corporate & Retail Banking  as well as in various aspects of Commercial Payments.

Sabine Glienke, Head of Payment & Operations, Change Management Enthusiast, Global Project Manager, DZ Bank AG

Sabine Glienke is a seasoned payment professional with over 15 years of banking experience. As the Head of Payments and Operations, Sabine has successfully led a global program to implement new payment systems across various international branches to successfully implement ISO20022. Her passion lies in managing changes and improving processes within the financial industry.
