AFB Seminar: Carbon Markets and the Corporate Transition to NetZero

AFB, in partnership with Carbonplace, will hold an in-person seminar on Carbon Markets and the role they play in the corporate transition to NetZero.

The seminar will begin with an overview of the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM) and Voluntary Carbon Credits (VCC), before moving onto important questions and considerations for banks in the use of VCM/VCC, including:

  • What is the UK Government’s approach and what is the potential incoming regulation?
  • Who are, and what is the role of, standard setters such as the SBTi, ICVCM, and VCMI?
  • How might VCMs overcome challenges of validation, perception, and confidence?
  • How can banks/markets address negative press?
  • Why should banks/corporates consider buying VCC?
  • What are the market trends and what is the future for VCM/VCC?

Who should attend?

This session is aimed at individuals working across corporate and capital markets with a focus on sustainability, and will be of particular interest to coverage bankers, investment banking leads, as well as senior staff including CFOs.

Please feel free to forward this invitation to a relevant colleague(s).
